Limited Edition Prints;

Limited Edition Prints are limited to a certain number of copies (usually 1100 individual prints or less). They may be available in different sizes within this same edition, however there will not be more prints than is stated on the edition. On this occasion just 470 edition prints of 'Sailing to Victory' will be produced, each will be numbered and individually signed by the artist. The artwork is a digital print created on high quality art paper using the finest inks as part of the printmaking process.

A Giclée is a high resolution digital print and is a recognised fine art print category like lithographs and serigraphs (silk screen printing). Giclee is considered the world's best technique for reproducing original works of art and for printing digitally created art.

Giclée is a French term meaning "spraying of ink." This proprietary giclee process enables the dot pattern which can be easily discernible on ordinary prints to be much closer together, finer and much more precise. The combination of specially formulated inks and unique pre-print system produces museum-quality prints. Traditional "Li-tho printing" typically uses a resolution of 300 dots of pigment per inch, whereas Giclee Iris printers can achieve 1800dpi. Giclee prints look and feel like original art and are made on real artist materials such as watercolour paper or canvas.
